I have been traveling to Tepoztlan once or twice a year since 2007 and since last year (2016) have made accommodations in Posada Los Alebrijes. It is a small posada of about 12 rooms run by a couple, they have a nice terrace and barbecue pit for your "carne asada" or similar. The rooms are cleaned daily and all have LCD TV, complete bathroom and good firm bed. All is very nice. The location is about a 20 minutes walk from the main market and very close to the scouting camp grounds of "Meztitla".
A diferencia de otros hoteles en Tepoztlán lo mejor de este es que no hay borrachos o gente que viene al vicio, por lo que es muy tranquilo y muy agradable para venir de paseo en familia.. aparte muy limpio. Recomendable
